Our
Achievements

Get to Know Us

In collaboration with Greater Austin-Area My Brother’s Keeper, Jay co-created and implemented a post-secondary achievement strategy for low-income males of color in Central Texas. The initiative, My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Scholars has served over 1,100 young scholars in several schools and districts in Central Texas. MBK Scholars has now been adopted by Communities in Schools.

In partnership with the Texas Education Agency (TEA), Jay and his network have supported school improvement initiatives throughout the state of Texas. These initiatives targeted low-performing schools in rural, suburban and urban communities in an effort to help establish partnerships under Senate Bill 1882.

Currently, J-4 Education Consulting is working with TEA and it's Additional Days School Year (ADSY) to support two public charter schools to establish and implement summer programming for targeted students in an effort to reduce the achievement gap. ADSY addresses summer learning loss, which can have a profound effect on students from low-income backgrounds.
